More VeggieTales Content in the Works

FRANKLIN: Big Idea Entertainment has secured a multi-production deal with Entrenched to collaborate on new VeggieTales content, including DVDs.

The animation will be completed by Entrenched’s sister-company Hawaii Animation Studios (HAS), which was co-developed by Dan Krech, Jeff Bell, Joe Serafini and John Morch. Previously, the principals of HAS played a key role in the production of Big Idea Entertainment and Universal’s 2008 theatrical release VeggieTales: The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything, as well as the direct-to-video animated series 3-2-1 Penguins!

Tomorrow, a special commemorative ceremony will be held in Honolulu to celebrate the opening of HAS.

"We’re thrilled to partner with Entrenched at such an exciting time," said Leslie Ferrell, the general manager for Big Idea Entertainment. "We’re confident a fresh crop of VeggieTales will grow out of Hawaii, and continue to bring the timeless and delightful adventures, lessons and songs to viewers around the world. It’s an honor for us to participate in the official opening and celebration of Hawaii Animation Studios."
