Monte Carlo TV Fest Announces Nominees

MONTE CARLO: A total of 20 comedies and 31 dramas from 22 countries have been nominated for Golden Nymph awards at the 49th Annual Monte Carlo Television Festival.

The Festival is scheduled for June 7 to 11, wrapping with the Golden Nymph Ceremony, where awards will be presented for outstanding international producer, outstanding European producer, outstanding actor and outstanding actress, in both the drama and comedy categories. The dramas up for consideration include Merlin from the U.K., Mafiosa from France, Mad Men from the U.S., Alice from Brazil, Epitafios from Argentina, Satisfaction from Australia, The Border from Canada, The Londoners from Poland, Emigrate to the West from China, Boarding School from Spain and Mom’s Dead Upset from South Korea. In comedy, contenders include The IT Crowd from the U.K., Desperate Parents from France, Doctor’s Diary from Germany, 30 Rock and The Office from the U.S., Rural News from Portugal and There’s Something about Love from Italy.
