Mix Master

TV Kids Weekly, December
04, 2007

ORIGIN: Mix Master is a 2-D animated comedy/fantasy/action-adventure TV series that
originally launched as a Massive Multi-Player Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG)
in Korea and Japan in January 2004. Sunwoo Entertainment in Korea obtained the
rights and developed it into a TV show, which is now distributed worldwide
(except in Asia) by Taffy Entertainment. Sunwoo simultaneously licensed the
rights in Asia for a trading card game, online and off-line, which debuted in
2005. There are over 770 different cards available in the Korean trading card
game.

CREATOR: Sunwoo Entertainment

TV SHOW: There are 39 half-hour episodes available in 2-D
animation.

SYNOPSIS: The TV series features a heroic group of young
friends battling the forces of evil by using a variety of colorful,
out-of-this-world creatures known as “Hench,” in a game of skill and strategy
that viewers can play along with at home. When the quiet town of Gambridge is
accidentally “mixed” with the magical game world of Atreia, the peaceful little
town is invaded by the funny and sometimes dangerous Hench, as well as Atreia’s
evil ruler, Prince Brad, who seeks to rule over both worlds. The show’s hero,
12-year-old Ditt, learns he is the legendary “Mix Master” and may be Gambridge’s
only hope, as he learns to properly “mix” these Hench to create new creatures
that will help defeat the evil villains, achieve peace and hopefully figure out
how to once again separate the two worlds.

COMMISSIONING
BROADCASTER:
Mix Master is co-produced by Sunwoo Entertainment and the
Korean Broadcasting System (KBS).

TV SALES: The show is now available on Nicktoons UK, where
it is among the top 10 highest-rated shows on the channel in boys 4 to 15 since
debuting in May 2007. The series can also be found on Nickelodeon (Spain and
Italy), Cartoon Network (Australia), Kabillion (U.S.), Ares Media (Turkey) and
Noga (Israel). Additional broadcast deals in Spain (on free TV) and Portugal
are expected to be finalized within weeks.

MAJOR LICENSEES: Taffy Entertainment is currently in the final
stages of securing a master trading cards deal for the series and has lined up
a 2007 holiday season QSR promotion with Popeye’s Fried Chicken in
approximately 1,800 stores throughout North America.

OTHER PRODUCTS: A new English-language MMORPG, developed by Seed C
Pacific, launched exclusively in the U.S. on Kabillion in mid-October and is
also available at www.mixmaster.com.au. Current plans include expanding the
game into additional territories and languages.

STRATEGY FOR ROLL OUT: The premiere season of Mix Master has continued performing well in all territories
and additional deals are expected to be announced by year’s end. The ability to
also simultaneously launch the series in conjunction with a proven MMORPG
creates a unique opportunity for Taffy Entertainment and its partners.

Mix Master has the potential to become one of those great ‘franchise’
shows,” says Lionel Marty, the president of worldwide distribution for Taffy
Entertainment. “This may be the first kids’ animated series brought to the
marketplace as both a TV series and an MMORPG simultaneously, giving us a
fantastic opportunity to introduce the show and its characters on multiple
platforms and assist our broadcast partners in developing a loyal and growing
audience. The Asian MMORPG and mobile trading card game has already established
itself as a success and interest continues building for the new
intercontinental MMORPG—now available in English—as the show
continues to roll out across Europe this year. We’re looking forward to
bringing on additional broadcast partners who will no doubt benefit from the
growing popularity of the series worldwide.”
