CANNES: Reed MIDEM has reported attendance of 11,000 delegates for this edition of MIPTV, which wraps today, on par with the figures from the 2014 event.

The organizers are reporting 4,000 buyers for this week's event, including 1,000 hailing from the digital world. MIPFormats and MIPDoc combined drew 1,800 attendees, which Reed MIDEM says is a record for the events. The Drama at MIPTV conference strand was attended by more than 80 senior-level decision-makers, according to the figures released today. Also, the MIP Digital Fronts were expanded this year, with screenings and talent showcases from, among others, VICE and AwesomenessTV.

Attendees hailed from more than 100 countries. For the first time Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway came together for the "Focus on the Nordics" initiative. “The Nordic countries are a breeding ground for some of the hottest drama, border-breaking formats, cutting-edge web series and frontline mobile innovation,” said Reed MIDEM’s Laurine Garaude.
