Merv Griffin’s Crosswords Nears Full Syndication Clearance

LOS ANGELES, August 23:
Program Partners and Merv Griffin Entertainment (MGE) have cleared the daytime
game show Merv Griffin’s Crosswords
for fall syndication in more than 90 percent of the U.S. for the 2007-08 season.

Scheduled to premiere on
September 10, the half-hour game show has been cleared in more than 160 markets
throughout the U.S., including all 40 of the top 40 markets and 95 of the top
100 markets. Affiliates carrying Crosswords include stations from the NBC O&Os,
Allbritton, Belo, CBS O&Os, Clear Channel, Cordillera, Cox, Duhamel,
Freedom, Gannett, Gray, Hearst-Argyle, Hoak, Hubbard, Journal, JW Broadcasting,
LIN, McGraw-Hill, Mission, New Age Media, Nexstar, Post-Newsweek, Raycom,
Schurz, Scripps, Sinclair, Sunbeam, Tribune and Young groups.

Entertainment and Program Partners, the show is hosted by Ty Treadway, and is a
fast-paced, new generation “Q & A” game show in which players compete
against each other and the clock in a unique way to solve a crossword.
