Mediaset Offers Diverse Titles

ROME: Together with its formats distributor, Resonant TV, Mediaset Distribution will head to NATPE with a catalogue that is aimed at a diverse audience, covering film, drama and sitcoms.

The sitcom Young Enough has been around for 18 seasons in Italy, while Police District has eight seasons. The individual stories of a team of gynocologists, obstetricians and pediatricians take center stage in Maternity Ward. Beauty Centre, meanwhile, is a drama that features women talking about their lives and emotions.

In addition to scripted formats, Mediaset, through Comarex, will be showcasing ready-made content. The Pilot, set in Italy in 1943-44, looks at a courageous Jewish aviator. The sitcom Meet Your Local Priest features a new priest of a small parish in the outskirts of a large city. The 12×50-minute Highschool Days is the story of a small town teacher who once dreamed of being transferred to Rome, but when the time arrives, things have changed. Carnera: The Walking Mountain is available as a 100-minute biographical film as well as a 2×100-minute mini-series. Set in 1933, Carnera centers on the first and only Italian to win the World Heavyweight Boxing Championship.
