maxdome in Smart TV Deal with Samsung

MUNICH: Samsung’s new generation of broadband-connected TV sets in Germany now offer built-in access to maxdome, ProSiebenSat.1’s online video platform delivering some 35,000 movie and TV titles.

Samsung Smart TVs use a maxdome app to connect directly to the content platform. Those with older Internet-connected Samsung sets can also access maxdome following a firmware update. Samsung is also working on integrating maxdome access into its Blu-ray players.

The companies first announced their cooperation at the IFA consumer electronics and home appliances trade show last year.
