NEW YORK: Cinemax subscribers can now download the MAX GO app free of charge, offering unlimited access to 700 hours of programming, coinciding with the premiere of Strike Back, the network’s first prime-time original.

Strike Back premieres tonight on Cinemax. Along with the debut episode, MAX GO users will have access to the second episode of Strike Back a week before its linear debut.

MAX GO offers customers hundreds of Hollywood movies, indie films, the MAX After Dark series as well as prime-time dramas. New titles are added every week. The app is available for immediate download on Apple’s iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, as well as a number of Android-operated smartphones.

Home Box Office released a similar app for HBO GO in May.

"Now MAX GO is even more portable and flexible than ever with the MAX GO app," said Eric Kessler, the co-president of HBO. "Consumers will be able to watch the full suite of Cinemax’s offerings and catch every action-packed moment of their favorite Cinemax movies and series anywhere they go."
