Mary Powers to Oversee Corporate Communications at Bell Globemedia

TORONTO, October 17: Mary Powers, the VP of communications
at CHUM Ltd., has been appointed as the senior VP of corporate communications
at Bell Globemedia (BGM), it was announced today.

BGM is currently awaiting
regulatory approval for its acquisition of CHUM Ltd. "Mary's appointment is permanent and in
the normal course,” said Ivan Fecan, the president and CEO of BGM and CEO of
CTV. “However, if the regulators approve the CHUM transaction, an added benefit
of her presence at BGM will be to aid in the integration of the two companies.”
Powers joins BGM on October 30.
