MarVista Scores Asian, Latin American Deals

LOS ANGELES, April 3: MarVista Entertainment has licensed
its prime-time teen drama series Beyond the Break to the pan-Asian general entertainment channel STAR World, and has
clinched a deal in Latin America for its CGI kids’ series The Zula
Patrol
.

The STAR deal brings Beyond the Break, airing in the U.S. on The N, to 25 million homes
throughout 30 countries across Asia. The new agreement follows several
licensing agreements that will bring Beyond the Break to over 60 million European households. The series
will be seen in Italy on RAI, in Spain on La Sexta, in France on M6, in Norway
on TV2 and in Denmark on TV2. Beyond the Break can also be seen on VRAK TV in French Canada.
MarVista will be launching the second season of the show at MIPTV.

Meanwhile, in Latin America, The Zula Patrol has been licensed to National Geographic for
broadcast in the new preschool block Nat Geo and Me. The daily four-hour block launches this month and
targets children aged 2 to 5.

MarVista will be offering 26 new episodes of The Zula
Patrol
at MIPTV, bringing the total number
of episodes available to 52 half-hours. The entertaining science series was
created by Dr. Deborah Manchester and boasts the multiple Emmy-nominated
writing team of Cydne Clark and Steve Granat. It airs in the U.S. on public TV
stations.
