Malaysia’s Astro Wins CASBAA Award

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian DTH operator Astro has been honored with the CASBAA Chairman’s Award this year for its contribution to the region’s pay-TV industry.

Marcel Fenez, the chairman of the Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia, said, "We greatly congratulate Astro and Malaysia for their thought leadership and contribution to the growth of the pay-TV landscape in the Asia-Pacific region. The CASBAA Chairman’s Award 2009 to Astro was made for its ability to achieve continuous sustainable growth in the previous 12 months.”
