Malaysian Rollout for Bennett’s MEN7

LOS ANGELES: Bennett Media Worldwide has reached a volume deal for content from its MEN7 brand with the Malaysian broadband provider SyQic Capital.

The agreement brings 150 hours of content from the MEN7 Digital Network to SyQic’s broadband TV platform YOONIC, beginning in February in Malaysia and expanding to Indonesia by May. SqQic has a further option to license the MEN7 brand for the Philippines, Singapore and Colombia. The slate, led by The MEN7 Show, features long- and short-form content, in HD. Bennett Media is working on licensing the MEN7 Digital Network portfolio to other IPTV and mobile platforms.

“We are proud to announce a comprehensive content tie-up with a company like Bennett that clearly understands the new media operating and business environments," said SyQic Capital’s CEO, Jamal Hassim. “We believe that Bennett is bringing not only content, but also invaluable ‘know how’. Together, we intend to plant the MEN7-branded flag firmly in Asian soil, beginning shortly in Malaysia, and eventually wherever in the region the YOONIC platform is established.”
