MacLennan Upped to COO of Animation Collective

NEW YORK,
November 27: Doug MacLennan has been promoted to COO of Animation Collective,
from his previous position as the company’s VP of finance.

In replacing
Michael Gold, who left the company to pursue an educational software venture,
MacLennan will be responsible for leading Animation Collective’s corporate
strategy and multiplatform initiatives. He will report to Larry Schwarz, the
company’s founder and CEO.

In his previous
position as Animation Collective’s VP of finance, MacLennan oversaw the
budgeting and financing of the company’s co-productions. His previous credits
include a seven-year tenure with Merrill Lynch in New York, London and Hong
Kong with the firm’s Corporate Strategy & Development Group, as well as
serving as co-producer for AMC’s Into Character series.

Additionally,
Animation Collective has named Olga Marino as its international director of
sales, where she will take on an expanded role with responsibility for
coordinating the company’s team of third-party sales agents as well as directly
selling to broadcasters. Marino comes to the position from Cookie Jar, where
she served as sales executive for the Latin American and Central and Eastern
European regions.
