What are some of your top properties for MIPTV?
Undercover Boss UK and USA (Format and Finished Programme rights) The Studio Lambert factual entertainment series where bosses go back to the ground level – it premiered after Super Bowl on CBS in America to over 38 million viewers and the there is a lot of interest in this one!
Going Postal: Our drama extravaganza for MIP, starring Charles Dance, David Suchet and Richard Coyle and based on the best -seller by Terry Pratchett. Great drama with a fun sense of humour to it – it features a banking scam crisis and trouble at the post office.
Escape in Time: A really warm and lovely family show that came out of the success of Lion’s Victorian Farm series. Here two families turn their backs on modern life to work on a historical farm. They are pitched in competition to learn new skills and realise that as well as fun with the chicks and piglets – there is a lot of hard work to be done!
Children’s Hospital: Maverick TV were granted extraordinary access to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital one of the largest children’s hospitals in Europe. This moving series shines a light on the bravery of the young patients, the forbearance of their parents in the most testing circumstances, and the immense skill of the army of hospital staff pulling together to save the lives of their tiny charges.
Undercover Princesses: Following on for the success of Undercover Princess for the BBC, Objective has produced the ladies version. Three Princesses are on a
quest for love – with a British male! If they find their Prince Charming, they will take them back to their kingdom to live happily ever after. However, to make sure the lovely ladies are loved for their true selves, they will be placed, incognito in … Essex.

Why will these programmes appeal to buyers?
We are fortunate to have a broad slate of new programmes – there several new drama series and a great range of factual blue chip and factual entertainment programming, as well as some really interesting format shows from producers around the world.

What are your goals and expectations for MIPTV?
From an acquisitions’ perspective, I am looking to seek out big new studio games shows, to follow on from our success with The Cube etc. On drama – long-running series and mini series are in demand and we are looking at those produced on a variety of budgets – from well made daytime fare to high budget prime-time. For factual – we would like a few more blue -chip projects on major themes as well as long -running daytime factual entertainment propositions, though ideally those not focused not homes and home/makeovers.
