Lion Sets Scottish Chief

LONDON: Lion Television, part of the ALL3MEDIA group, has added Steve Bailey to its regional U.K. office to take on the role of managing director of Lion Scotland.

Bailey was formerly the head of factual programmes at Mentorn Scotland, responsible for programs such as Highland Clans, Cowboy Trap and films for The One Show.

Lion has also bolstered its executive team in London with the appointment of Donna Clark as head of factual entertainment. Currently at Renegade, Clark’s credits include Don’t Tell the Bride and WI Brothel along with executive producer credits for Fat Men Can’t Hunt for Endemol.

Clark commented, "Lion is already known for award-winning factual entertainment shows and I’m looking forward to building on that strength."

Lion’s joint managing director, Jeremy Mills, added, "Steve’s appointment marks a new phase in the life of Lion Scotland and signals the level of our ongoing commitment to our Glasgow office and a desire to increase our production capacity. We hope to build on previous successes to grow our output from Scotland. Donna’s appointment comes at a time when the factual entertainment genre is going to become even more important to many channels. We’re delighted that both have decided to bring their considerable skills to Lion."
