Granada In Latin American Deal on Tween Drama

LONDON, July 20: Granada International has sold the
live-action tween drama Darcy’s Wildlife to
Turner Broadcasting System’s (TBS) Boomerang channel in Latin America.

The first and second seasons of the series have already
begun to air in the region on Boomerang Latin America on Saturdays at 9:30 p.m.
Darcy’s Wildlife stars Hollywood actress
and singer Sara Paxton (Aquamarine, Malcolm in the Middle) as Darcy, a girl who doesn’t expect that her
Hollywood mom's search for “simple values and simple pleasures” will take her
to a ranch near a tiny country town in heartland America. Life may be simple,
but it's certainly never dull, as Darcy enjoys a series of comedic and
thought-provoking adventures.

The series is executive produced by Stan Rogow (Lizzie
McGuire
).

Cindy Kerr, the VP of programming
and acquisitions for Cartoon Network and Boomerang Latin America,
commented: “We are delighted to premiere Darcy’s Wildlife on Boomerang’s prime time; we believe the fish out
of water concept mixed with comedy in the wild will be very appealing for kids
and tweens in Latin America and further establish Boomerang’s success in the
region.”
