Latin American Deals for Cineflix

LONDON, September 13: Cineflix International has inked a
package deal with SBT in Brazil and has made its first sale to Discovery Latin
America.

The Brazilian broadcaster has licensed 55 hours of Cineflix
produced programming, including the hit Mayday, the 35×1-hour series investigating high-profile air, sea and train
disasters.

SBT has also licensed Tenerife, Crash of the Century, a two-hour docudrama extension of Mayday that reconstructs the collision of KLM 747 and PanAm
747 at Los Rodeos airport in Tenerife, killing 583 people. The deal also
includes seasons one and two of Zero Hour, the 2×1-hour 10 Days to Victory and the 8×1-hour Greatest Ever.

Discovery Latin America has acquired its first title from
Cineflix: the 15×30-minute factual-entertainment show Psychic Investigators. In addition, Canal 11 in Mexico took the 10×30-minute
Baby Squad.

Sandra Piha, sales manager at Cineflix International for
Latin America, noted, “Latin America has traditionally been a tough market for
documentaries and factual entertainment. Our recent success in Latin America is
the result of a highly targeted approach to our clients, frequent face to face
meetings, a cultural connection and of course kick ass content.”
