TEL AVIV: Keshet Formats is launching the new dating-reality format 3 (Three), originally produced for Channel 2 in Israel.

The show watches as three single women audition hundreds of men in an effort to find true love. For three months they will share their lives, go on dates together and support each other. The three women start their process with nationwide auditions, deciding on the spot who is worth dating. They then reduce the potential mates through five different stages.

The original format is created by Keshet Broadcasting. Kastina Productions produced the 12×1-hour Israeli version, which debuted in prime time this month.

Keren Shahar, the head of Keshet Formats, said: “3 (Three) is an innovative offering from Keshet—think The Bachelor meets The X Factor with a distinctive twist—and builds upon our reputation for creating original formats, tried and tested on our channels, with genuine international appeal. We believe that this is the direction dating shows are taking and part of the overall trend in reality shows: towards authenticity, ‘real life reality.’ Israel is a hotbed of creative talent and we’re delighted with the performance of the show on our channel as well as the anticipation the property has generated thus far.”
