Kelly Conniff has been appointed as the head of creative at TIME Studios.

Conniff will report to Dave O’Connor, president of TIME Studios. She will be working closely with the leadership team to contribute to the journalism, events, programming and support special projects.

In addition to her new responsibilities, Conniff will retain her title as deputy editor of TIME and will continue supporting special projects, including leading Person of the Year.

Conniff has been with TIME since 2012.

With TIME’s 2023 Emmy nomination (The Lionheart) and win (Big Vape), O’Connor and Sam Jacobs, editor in chief, believe Conniff’s addition is integral to the TIME family.

“We believe that TIME Studios’s success requires the best ideas from TIME and full support from the company,” O’Connor and Jacobs said in a joint statement. “Kelly’s addition to the TIME Studios team is an important piece of this evolution. We firmly believe TIME’s great storytelling can thrive in all formats.”
