LONDON: A second season of Jungle Junction, from the British production outfit Spider Eye, is to premiere on Disney Junior in the U.K. on June 25.

Jungle Junction is the first animated preschool series to come from Disney’s European development hub. The show premiered on Playhouse Disney, now Disney Junior, in September 2009. The first season went on to launch in 149 countries and 30 languages.

Director Morgan Francis commented, “We’re lucky enough to live and work in a fantastic Cornish community, and we wanted Jungle Junction to be a local as well as a global success story. We’re incredibly proud of the success of the show and the positive impact it’s had on the community. It’s helped us create local jobs and inspire the next generation of creative talent with our work experience program. We’ll all be celebrating the premiere of season two on Saturday!”

Beth Gardiner, the VP of production at Disney Junior EMEA, said, "Jungle Junction shows that great ideas can come from anywhere from Cornwall to California, and our mission remains to seek out the best creative talent wherever they’re based. Preschoolers and their families around the world have embraced the show and we’re looking forward to building on its success on our new Disney Junior channel.”
