Judd Apatow Joins Comedy Website

LOS ANGELES, October 17: Judd Apatow, the hit filmmaker
behind Knocked Up, The 40 Year
Old Virgin
and Superbad, has come on board as principal and partner in
FunnyorDie.com, the popular online destination founded by Hollywood comedians
Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.

Apatow, whose Knocked Up
and Superbad fake outtakes have
been attracting audiences on FunnyorDie.com, will work with Ferrell and McKay
to built the site’s portfolio of comedic content.

"Adding Judd Apatow to a team that already includes
Will Ferrell and Adam McKay cements FunnyorDie.com as the premiere online
comedy site," said Mark Kvamme of Sequoia Capital, which funded
FunnyorDie.com. The site launched six months ago and is represented by Creative
Artists Agency.

Apatow's next project, premiering in December, is Walk
Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
, a satirical take
on music biopics starring John C. Reilly. He is currently producing Step
Brothers
, which is being directed by McKay
and stars Ferrell.
