Joost to Feature Content from i-concerts

LONDON, February 28: The music VOD service i-concerts has
secured a U.K. distribution deal making its programming available on the
upcoming global broadband content platform Joost.

Joost will feature approximately 20 hours of i-concerts programming that will be
refreshed regularly. The content will cover all genres of music and include
performances from artists such as Bob Marley, New York Dolls, B.B. King and
Andrea Bocelli, as well as multi-artist live shows such as London Live (aka The Album Chart Show). The i-concerts channel will also serve
as a showcase for the wider i-concerts catalogue that is already available
extensively on a series of IPTV and VOD platforms across Europe.

Founded in June 2005, i-concerts
is carried in France by Free Telecom and
Club Internet (T-Online France) as a broadband PC VOD service. i-concerts has also signed distribution
agreements with Belgian cable operator Telenet and BT Vision in the U.K.

“i-concerts
is a terrific addition to our growing music offering,” said Yvette
Alberdingkthijm, the EVP of content strategy and acquisition for Joost. “Joost
enables music labels and properties like i-concerts to find new fans and
connect on a deeper level with existing fans.”

Founded by Janus
Friis and Niklas Zennström, Joost is a global distribution platform that offers
broadcast-quality content free to viewers through a broadband Internet
connection.
