Jericho Makes Strong Debut in Australia and in the U.S.

SYDNEY,
September 22: The new drama Jericho
premiered on Network Ten in Australia last night and won its timeslot in all
major demos with a 41-percent share in Ten's core 16-39 demographic.

Jericho also had a strong performance on its home network
CBS where it attracted 11.4 million viewers in its premiere on Wednesday.

"This
was a television first to launch a new dramatic series simultaneously with the
U.S. and we are delighted with the result,” says David Mott, Ten's chief
programming officer. “The global nature of the event and the program's unique
story line has clearly struck a chord with audiences here and overseas.”

Jericho is a drama about what happens when a nuclear
mushroom cloud suddenly appears on the horizon, plunging the residents of a
small, peaceful Kansas town into chaos, leaving them completely isolated and
wondering if they're the only Americans left alive.
