J:COM Launches New Premium Channels

TOKYO, February 28: In April, Japanese MSO Jupiter
Telecommunications (J:COM) will begin rolling out a slate of new premium
channels for its digital customers, including the classical music network
Classica Japan.

Classica Japan, distributed by Classica-Japan Corporation,
launches on J:COM’s digital broadcasting service J:COM TV Digital*1 on April 1.
Takarazuka Sky Stage (distributed by Hankyu Corporation) will begin
broadcasting on May 1. The channel is based on the Takarazuka Revue, an
all-female acting troupe. On June 1, J:COM TV Digital will launch the Korean
entertainment channel Mnet, distributed by CJ Media Japan Corp. Classica Japan
and Mnet programming will also be available on J:COM’s VOD offering.

The J:COM Digital tier costs 4,980 yen ($42) per month,
delivering more than 100 channels.
