Jason Siu Tapped for GM Position at STAR Taiwan

HONG KONG/TAIPEI, March
20: Jason Siu has been appointed the GM of STAR Taiwan, effective May 1,
replacing Wayne Chou, who is resigning from the company.

In his new position, he
will lead STAR’s broadcasting operations in Taiwan, reporting to Paul Aiello,
the CEO of STAR.

Siu is currently serving
as the GM of Chinese programming at STAR, where he is in charge of the
development of STAR Taiwan’s television programming. He joined STAR in 2000 and
was promoted to associate VP of STAR Chinese Movies in 2004, where he was
responsible for movie title acquisition and program scheduling. Siu has more
than 15 years of experience in the movie and television industry. He was
involved in the production, post-production, distribution and finance
management of numerous Chinese blockbusters including Island of Greed, New Tales of the Flying Fox, Sentenced to Hang and To Be Number One.
