TORONTO/LOS ANGELES/LONDON: Jason Priestley is on board to direct one episode of the second season of Entertainment One’s Haven, as well as guest star in a four-episode story arc.

The move sees Priestley continuing his relationship with eOne, after having starred in the dark comedy Call Me Fitz—which has secured a U.S. slot on DIRECTV, as of April 21—and directed the Luke Perry Hallmark Movie Goodnight for Justice.

In Haven, which kicks off production on the second season in Nova Scotia April 1 for a tentative summer 2011 premiere, Priestley will play Chris Weekly, a handsome but anti-social marine biologist who must deal with an affliction most would consider a blessing. He joins a cast that includes Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour. Watch World Screen‘s interview with Rose and Balfour here.

The Syfy show, adapted from Stephen King’s The Colorado Kid, was co-commissioned by Shaw Media in Canada and globally via Universal Networks International (UNI). It is executive produced by eOne’s John Morayniss and Noreen Halpern, as well as Lloyd Segan, Shawn Piller, Scott Shepherd and Matt McGuiness.
