Janson to Showcase Range of Factual Programming

 

HARRINGTON PARK: As a result of its acquisition of the Inecom Entertainment film library, Janson Media has a number of new blue-chip feature-length history documentaries to showcase at MIPTV.

Titles include Silent Wings: The American Glider Pilots of WWII, narrated by Hal Holbrook; Expo: Magic of the White City, narrated by Gene Wilder and World War I: American Legacy, narrated by David Carradine. Also on the roster are Blood and Oil: The Middle East in World War I, Westinghouse: The Life & Times of an American Icon, Gettysburg & Stories of Valor and Lincoln & Lee at Antietam: The Cost of Freedom. Further highlights include Horses of Gettysburg, Forgotten War: The Struggle for North America, The Lion and the Mouse: The History of Bermuda & America, The Johnstown Flood and Last Flight Home: Searching For and Finding MIAs.
 
Janson has also slated three new titles for its Giant Screen Films collection of movies: The Great American West, Dinosaurs Alive! And Ride Around the World. New family programming from Janson includes the doc My Pen Pal: An African Adventure and the PBS series Saddle Up with Dennis Brouse and The Gypsy Vanner Horse.
 

Returning to the Janson catalogue is the docu-drama Jesus Diaries: Every Day Life in the Time of Messiah. Two new arts and craft series are Knitting Daily TV and Quilting Arts TV, which join Janson’s how-to programming roster. Also featured are new seasons of Hands on Crafts for Kids, the jewelry-making show Beads, Baubles and Jewels, scrapbooking-centric Scrapbook Memories and the baking and cake-decorating series Bake Decorate Celebrate!

 

From Janson’s current-affairs catalogue comes Pawns of Paradise and Independent Intervention: Breaking Silence. The 2009 season of the long-running PBS series Great Decisions 2009 is also available. As are new seasons of the Janson travel, cooking and personal finance series Travel with Kids, Chefs A’Field: Green Cuisine, Barbecue America: The World Tour and MoneyTrack. Janson also highlights Greece: Quest for the Gods, the seventh title in the Richard Bangs’ Adventures with Purpose series.
