Janson Media’s Chronos Hits International DVD Markets

HARRINGTON PARK, January 31: Janson Media is rolling out Chronos, the first non-verbal, non-fiction motion picture
shot entirely in time-lapse photography, to the international DVD market,
making the special available on both the HD-DVD and Blu-ray formats.

Chronos is presented
as a “visual symphony in seven movements,” according to its New Jersey-based
distributor, recounting the story of Western Civilization. Scenes were filmed
inside the Vatican and the La Scala opera house, among other locations. It is
directed by award-winning filmmaker Ron Fricke with music from Michael Stearns;
their previous credits include the IMAX productions Koyaanisqatsi and Baraka.
