Ivan Bargueiras Named GM for Discovery Networks U.S. Hispanic Group

MIAMI: As the newly appointed general manager of Discovery Networks U.S. Hispanic Group, Ivan Bargueiras is charged with leading the business expansion for the company’s portfolio of Spanish-language networks.

Bargueiras’s remit is to manage all aspects of the U.S. Hispanic portfolio, which includes Discovery en Español and Discovery Familia. This includes programming, marketing and business development. He retains his current responsibilities as senior VP of advertising sales for Discovery Latin American and U.S. Hispanic (DLA/USH) and international markets. In this role he oversees TV and online advertising and sales activities for the region. He continues to be based in Miami, reporting to Enrique R. Martínez, the executive VP and managing director of DLA/USH.
