LONDON: The 6×30-minute factual series Wildlife Patrol has been commissioned by ITV1 from Tern Television.

The series looks at the surge in wildlife crime in the British countryside and the illegal trade of endangered specials across the U.K.’s borders. Viewers will get an unprecedented look at the work of the officers on the front line of the fight against this illegal animal trafficking. Wildlife Patrol will be distributed for the international market by DRG.

Harry Bell, the creative director at Tern Television, said: “This commission not only strengthens Tern’s existing credentials in high-quality and groundbreaking factual programming, but also highlights our growing appeal to the U.K.’s major broadcasters and the increasing stature of the company. The unique and unprecedented level of access gained by Tern ensures that Wildlife Patrol is an in-depth and revealing series that genuinely stands out from our competition.”
