ITV Studios Scores Poirot Deals Worldwide

LONDON: ITV Studios Global Entertainment has inked a range of new deals on the BAFTA Award-winning series Agatha Christie’s Poirot with David Suchet, including with CCTV in China and Mediaset in Italy.

The acclaimed British drama can be seen in more than 200 territories across the globe. New agreements include CCTV for seasons 8 and 10, APT for PBS syndication in the U.S. on season two, ABC Australia, France 2, Telecine in Brazil, Prime New Zealand and Mediaset for season 11, Television de Murcia in Spain for seasons one through ten and NBCU’s Hallmark Channel in both the Middle East and Africa for season three.

Tobi de Graaff, the director of global TV distribution at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, noted: “Poirot is one of the world’s most popular prime-time television series. This brilliant long-running drama has a unique universal appeal, combining extremely high-quality production and casting values with, of course, the book’s long-standing popularity as classic novels. ITV Studios Global Entertainment is launching a slate of five new prime-time dramas at MIPCOM, including Identity and The Prisoner (co-produced by AMC and ITV Studios), along with six new seasons of Lewis, Agatha Christie’s Marple and Agatha Christie’s Poirot.
