ITV Studios Global Entertainment Takes on NBC’s Prime Suspect

LONDON: NBC’s Prime Suspect is launching to the international market during the L.A. Screenings, with ITV Studios Global Entertainment representing the show worldwide.

The series, co-produced by ITV Studios America and Universal Media Studios and produced by Film 44, is based on Lynda La Plante’s bestselling novels. The show is written by Alex Cunningham (Desperate Housewives) and directed by Peter Berg (Hancock). Mario Bello (ER) stars as Detective Jane Timoney in the U.S. series.

Kevin Lygo, the managing director at ITV Studios, said: “Paul Buccieri and his team are well established in the U.S. as producers of hit prime-time content and this latest commission is the result of many months of development with NBC and Film 44.
