ITV Global Takes Werewolf Drama

LONDON: Set to join the ITV Global Entertainment catalogue is the drama We’rewolves, from British indie Wide-Eyed Entertainment (WEE).

The 90-minute special begins with the discovery of a mutilated body, which leads investigating detectives into a complex world inhabited by a sub-human species. With the help of an expert zoologist, the detectives uncover that the creature is none other than the Werewolf. The feature-length project combines real science, documentary- and surveillance-style cinematography with special effects. The distribution deal covers all territories, except the U.S.

Emmanuelle Namiech, the director of co-productions and acquisitions at ITV Global Entertainment, said, “We’rewolves is something unique combining the very best in special effects, factual research and direction, with chilling ‘what if’ fantasy. This is a great example of a show with true universal appeal as it combines fact with fiction seamlessly. We’re very proud to be working with Jasper and the team at Wide-Eyed Entertainment, in taking this to the worldwide audiences.”

Jasper James, the CEO of WEE and creator of We’rewolves, added, “We’rewolves is a show that reflects its subject. Nothing is what it seems—on the outside it appears to be an ordinary murder doc, but within beats the heart of a full-blooded drama—a hairy, nail-biting savage with a faint, but unmistakable whiff of Oscar about it. With ITV Global, our little monster is in great hands.”
