ITV Chief Mulls Exit

LONDON, July 24: Charles
Allen is considering stepping down as the chief executive of ITV when the
company announces its interim results next month, British press reports
indicate.

Allen has been under increasing pressure from investors
about the British media company’s falling share price and the failed takeover
bid from Apax.

If Allen does step down, the company’s director of
television, Simon Shaps, is being considered as a possible successor, the
Guardian notes.
