ITV Bags Dexter

LONDON/BURBANK, February
19: Dexter, the critically
acclaimed Showtime series that is being repurposed on CBS, has secured a
terrestrial slot in the U.K. via ITV1.

The series, distributed by
CBS Paramount International Television, stars Michael C. Hall as a police
forensics expert who is also a serial killer, targeting criminals who have
eluded prosecution. The series, which recently wrapped its second season on
Showtime, is based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. CBS began airing the series on
Sunday night to fill gaps in its schedule as it awaits new episodes of its own
shows.
