Indonesian Carriage for Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia Channels

SINGAPORE: Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia has secured carriage on Indonesia’s IPTV platform Groovia, which sees the channel ONE making its debut in the country.

Sony Entertainment Television, AXN and AXN Beyond channels have also joined the IPTV service by TelkomVision. Sony Entertainment Television is a new addition, while AXN and AXN Beyond expand on their existing carriage on TelkomVision’s cable and satellite pay-TV platforms. ONE debuts in Indonesia following on successful launches in Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia.

“The debut of IPTV in the fast growing Indonesian pay-TV market is a milestone and we are proud to be providing some of the first channels on the new platform,” said Ricky Ow, the senior VP and general manager for networks in Asia at Sony Pictures Television. “The emergence of new pay-TV offerings will expand the audience  and that bodes well for the industry.
