Indian, Irish Outfits to Collaborate on Animation Projects

TRIVANDRUM/GALWAY: Toonz Animation India and Ireland’s Telegael Group are partnering to develop, co-produce and finance a slate of animated projects for the worldwide market.

Toonz and Telegael previously worked together on Freefonix for the BBC. “Our fruitful partnership for the Freefonix project served as a prelude for this strategic alliance," said P. Jayakumar, the CEO of Toonz Animation India. "We aim to mutually leverage our competencies in our core domains. To start off we are looking at the production of a slate of television series with a combined worth approaching $30 million."
