Imira Names Head of Licensing

BARCELONA: Julian Barbier has been appointed head of licensing at the production and distribution company Imira Entertainment.

Barbier will manage and develop Imira’s properties in Spain and Portugal and manage an international network of licensing agents. Prior to this role, he handled the brand licensing at Biplano for clients such as Dreamworks Animation, Nickelodeon and Sony Pictures.

“We are seeing increased demand for consumer products as the presence of our television properties grows in domestic and international markets,” said Sergi Reitg, the managing director at Imira Entertainment. “We offer a unique one stop shop when TV and licensing and merchandising rights are managed jointly. With Julian’s appointment we have a strong team in place to drive our licensing and merchandising plans forward. His wealth of experience will help to further exploit the potential of our properties both in Spain and Portugal and globally.”
