IFTA Renews Contracts of Top Execs

LOS ANGELES, August 10:
The board of directors of the Independent Film and Television Alliance has
extended the contracts of the trade organization’s top executives: Jean M.
Prewitt, the president and CEO, and Jonathan Wolf, executive VP of IFTA and
managing director of the American Film Market.

Both executives signed new
three-year contracts that run through 2009.

Michael Ryan, Chairman of
IFTA and director of IAC Film, commented, “Jean and Jonathan have made
substantial contributions to our organization, which have resulted in continued
growth and a host of year-round services that have delivered value to our
membership and the independent industry at large. I share the board’s
enthusiasm about the future of our alliance under their leadership.”

Prewitt leads IFTA’s
global focus activities, well as serving as chairman of FilmLA. Since her
appointment to IFTA in 2000, the organization has become a leading industry
voice on a number of important initiatives and issues concerning the
independent film and television industries. Wolf has guided the repositioning
of the AFM in the slot he has held since 1998. The 2005 AFM was the largest in
the event’s 27-year history.
