IBC Brings Three Historical Docs to MIPTV

HOLLYWOOD, March 27: International Broadcast Communications
will launch three award-winning historical documentaries at MIPTV: Surviving
Auschwitz, Defying Hitler
and Time
and Chance: Gerald Ford’s Appointment
with
History
.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to present such
top-quality factual documentaries at this year’s market,” said Jon Helmrich,
the president of IBC. “The subject matter of these films is timeless and will
please audiences around the world.”

All three were produced by WGVU Productions, and distributed
through public TV stations across the U.S. The 90-minute Surviving
Auschwitz: Children of the Shoah
following
two Holocaust survivors as they return to Auschwitz. The half-hour Defying
Hitler
goes on a journey with Joseph
Stevens as he visits with his son the hiding places he used as part of the
Polish underground during World War II. The one-hour special Time and
Chance: Gerald Ford’s Appointment
with
History
traces the his formative years in
Michigan and chronicles his political career as a thirteen-term congressman,
Vice President and President.
