Hydra Properties Preps New Reality Competition Series

LONDON, November 28: In cooperation with Showtime Arabia and Infinity TV,
Abu Dhabi-based real estate developer Hydra Properties will launch The Hydra Executives, a 15-week reality
television series in which contestants compete for the chance to win $1 million
to start their own real estate venture.

Filmed in Abu Dhabi, the English-language reality show will see 16
contestants—eight men and eight women from the U.K. and the U.S.—
battle it out for the chance to win a $1 million to start their own business
venture in the United Arab Emirates under the Hydra umbrella.

Over the course of the
15-week program, the 16 participants will undergo a two-week boot camp, during
which they will immerse themselves in the world of real estate. After this, they
will be split into two teams—a team of Brits against a team of
Americans—who will compete against each other.

The host of the show is
Dr. Sulaiman Al Fahim, the CEO of Hydra Properties, who also came up with the
idea for The Hydra Executives.
The aim of the program is to raise the profile of Hydra Properties as well as
promote Abu Dhabi and help build tourism to the destination.

Al Fahim said: “The show
will further emphasize Hydra’s association with innovation and leadership in
the UAE and the international real estate development arena. The show will aim
to educate and entertain, while simultaneously tapping international
entrepreneurial talent to start their real estate venture in the richest and
fastest growing development market in the world, Abu Dhabi.”

Marc-Antoine d’Halluin,
the CEO of Showtime Arabia, commented: “This English-language reality show will
be the first of its kind for the Middle East audience and also the first
involving the real estate sector in the region. We are delighted to be part of
this great endeavour that Hydra has chosen and feel that this is one of the
most creative shows that we’ve seen.”
