SANTA MONICA: Hulu has renewed Deadbeat, an original comedy series starring Tyler Labine (Tucker & Dale vs. Evil), for a 13-episode third season.

Deadbeat centers on a hapless medium who helps New York ghosts resolve their unfinished business. Starring alongside Labine are Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder), Cat Deeley (So You Think You Can Dance) and Lucy DeVito. The half-hour show, produced by Lionsgate Television, is co-created by Cody Heller and Brett Konner (Wilfred, The Inbetweeners). A premiere date for the new season will be revealed at a later time.

"Deadbeat is a uniquely imaginative and charming series," said Craig Erwich, the senior VP and head of content at Hulu. "We are very happy to bring it back for another hilarious season and look forward to sharing new ghostly stories."
