LONDON: Cruel Britannia: The Cutting Edge of British Horror is a special programming event set for the Horror Channel next month, kicking off April 8 with Steven Sheil’s debut feature, Mum & Dad.

Mum & Dad centers on a young Polish immigrant who finds herself imprisoned in a suburban "house of horrors." On April 15, Gerard Johnson’s Tony: London Serial Killer is set to air. Salvage, from director Lawrence Gough, screens April 22. The season ends with Simon Rumley’s The Living and the Dead, on April 29.

Chris Sharp, Chello Zone’s chief programming officer and general manager, commented: “Horror Channel is dedicated to supporting the cutting edge of British Horror providing a platform for innovative film makers. These critically acclaimed movies are each very different but mark an exciting time in the genre’s history. We’re proud to be broadcasting the vast spectrum of horror coming from the Brits and reinforcing Horror as one of the very best themed channels.”
