Hood Exits Jamba

BEVERLY HILLS, October 11:
Lucy Hood has announced her resignation as CEO of Jamba and president of Fox
Mobile Entertainment in order to “pursue more entrepreneurial ventures.”

The company’s COO, Lee
Fenton, will assume her duties until a new CEO is appointed. Hood, who has been
with News Corp. for more than a decade, helped launch Fox Mobile Entertainment
in 2005. She also oversaw News Corp.'s strategic move into global mobile
entertainment in 2006 as a joint-venture partner in Jamba, an alliance that
merged Fox Mobile Entertainment with Jamba assets to form the first vertically
integrated mobile entertainment company. Under Hood's leadership, Jamba, whose
reach extends to one billion people in 25 languages, offers the world's widest
selection of popular mobile entertainment, including content from media
companies such as Universal Music, Warner Music, MTV, Sony/BMG and Disney
Entertainment. Jamba will also continue to offer unique, original and
made-for-mobile content offerings, with the addition of content from News
Corporation's 60 divisions.
