Hillary Exits BBC America

NEW YORK, June 20: Bill
Hillary is stepping down as the president and CEO of BBC America to join the ad
buying agency MAGNA Global’s entertainment division.

As president of MAGNA Global
Entertainment, Hillary will oversee the development of branded entertainment.
Past productions at the unit have included The Restaurant with Reveille for NBC. He reports to MAGNA CEO
Bill Cella, who said in a statement, “As the media landscape continues to
fragment, the need for strategic programming that meets advertiser needs has
become increasingly important.”

Hillary has been at the
helm of BBC America since 2004, when he joined from Comedy Central. A successor
has not yet been named.
