HBO Renews Entourage for Sixth Outing

LOS ANGELES, October 6:
HBO’s acclaimed comedy Entourage
has received a pickup for a sixth season, which will be broadcast in 2009.

Production on the sixth
season of the show, created by Doug Ellin, begins early next year for a summer
launch, HBO said today. Announcing the renewal, Michael Lombardo, the president
of the programming group and West Coast operations at HBO, said: “Entourage is that rare phenomenon in TV: a smart, sharp comedy
series that continues to evolve. Doug Ellin and his remarkable team
consistently deliver a show that's must-see viewing."

Entourage is currently in its fifth season, which kicked off
in September.
