HBO Max Continues European Rollout

HBO Max has continued its direct-to-consumer rollout in eight new countries and scored new bundling deals, including one that will see the service distributed through Prime Video in Germany, Austria and Italy.

As a stand-alone service, HBO Max is now available in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Greece and Israel.

In Italy, Germany and Austria, consumers will be able to purchase an add-on subscription on Prime Video to access the streamers.

In Germany, HBO Max and RTL+ will be available together in a bundle. Customers in Austria will have access to the same bundle. Additionally, in Germany, waipu.tv will integrate HBO Max into its platform.

TIM is an additional partner in Italy and will begin offering HBO Max to its TIMVISION customers soon.

In Switzerland, the launch takes place in partnership with Sunrise and Swisscom, which are making HBO Max available to their customers as part of their entertainment offerings.

Hot and Yes in Israel are making HBO Max available to its subscribers via their platforms.

And in Greece, HBO Max continues to be available through Vodafone.

Fans in these countries will now be able to access a lineup of entertainment from HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, Warner Bros. Television, Max Originals and more. This month sees a variety of new and returning titles, including One Battle After Another, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Industry, The Pitt and Heated Rivalry. In February, the Olympic Winter Games will be made available to HBO Max subscribers across every plan in all European countries where the service is available.
