HBO Joins 3 UK Mobile SVOD Service

LONDON: Through a deal with On Demand Group, HBO content such as The Sopranos and Entourage will be made available on 3 U.K.’s mobile SVOD platform.

Subscribers to the mobile operator’s subscription VOD platform will receive access to full episodes of The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Flight of the Conchords and others. “With just a few clicks, 3 UK’s SVOD subscribers will now have quick access to some of our most compelling and critically acclaimed programs,” said Stanley Fertig, senior VP of HBO International. “The new TV: On Demand platform allows for a great deal of personalization, so customers who subscribe to the service will be able to instantly watch HBO programmes at their convenience.”

Other content providers that have deals with 3 include Warner Bros. and Disney.
