Harbert Promoted to President, Comcast Entertainment

PHILADELPHIA, October 13:
Ted Harbert, president and CEO of E! Networks, has been promoted to the new
position of president and CEO of Comcast Entertainment Group, with oversight of
the company’s West Coast properties, including E! Entertainment Television,
Style Network and the male-targeting G4 network.

Harbert had been president
of E! Networks since he replaced Mindy Herman in that role in mid-2004. G4
president Neal Tiles remains with that network and now reports to Harbert.
Salaam Coleman Smith will continue to oversee Style.

Before joining E!, Harbert’s career included stints at 20th Century
Fox Television, NBC Studios, and DreamWorks. Prior to that he spent two decades
at ABC, eventually rising to the post of chairman of ABC Entertainment.
