ProSiebenSat.1 Posts Positive Q2 Results

MUNICH: Net profit at ProSiebenSat.1 was up 63.7 percent, to 74.5 million euros, for the second quarter of 2010, with revenues that grew nearly 10 percent, to 760.6 million euros.

The group saw increased revenues in all segments, with almost flat recurring costs. German free-TV revenues were up 8 percent at 459.7 million euros. Revenue was up 10 percent to 205 million euros in its free-TV operations outside Germany. In the diversification segment, there was a 14-percent sales hike to 96.1 million euros. The group also reduced its debt by some 150 million euros from the same period last year, to 3.275 billion euros.
